Psoriasis

I’ve had psoriasis for about 4-5yrs never had it on my back up until about a year ago and a half ago it started with one patch. My psoriasis was mostly on my thighs and a few on my stomach and butt. Now I’ve been taking otezla and ointments now it’s very mild in those areas but my back work clear up. I just went to my dermatologist and he is going to try and get my insurance to cover injection shots. Has anyone here tried them before ? He suggests that it works good. submitted by /u/Sparklefarts_ [link] [comments]

More a post for Uk people and me just needing to vent. Had my skin under control at a mild level the last year. Come January, bad outbreak. Now over 50% coverage at least. Managed to get a referral to dermatologist from the GP and only 6 week wait(March). Appointment cancelled the day before. Got given another appointment 5 week wait and cancelled again 2 days before (April). New appointment is in fucking august. 4 fucking months. It’s really bad on my face and I’ve ruined my face by using steroid creams as nothing else works and I now glow red and thin skin. Now got it on my lips and eyelids which I’ve never had before. I know the nhs is under pressure but I just wanna say fuck you nhs. And the thing that really gets me is there are treatments which will probably clear it up (biologics) but due to cost we can’t have them even though I’m massive depressed, can’t get in relationship cos of it, think I’m gonna die alone. submitted by /u/gen

Losing my mind a bit researching this topic, what to eat what not to eat, carnivore but eggs, chicken can cause inflammation 🤷♂️, vegetarian but even tomato can worsen you. The pursuit of failure continues, everyone has their own opinion what’s yours ig. Keto looks semi decent but cheese can be bad or maybe not submitted by /u/Heg12353 [link] [comments]

Hi, today I've had my first dose of Tildrakizumab as per my dermatologist's prescription. Opinions (not so many of them) seem vastly different - it's either a miracle or it doesn't work at all. I've read up on it, IL-23 inhibitor etc. but I'm posting this for others that in the future might be prescribed this biological for them too to read up on a couple of opinions. I have vulgar psoriasis on my palms (full) and feet (full) with a couple spots on my legs. Anyone in the same boat with me? Either way, if you're using Ilumya/Ilumetri, how has it gone for you? submitted by /u/287pe2009 [link] [comments]

New scales?

Hi all! After months of struggling with a “weird skin issue” triggered by incredible amount of stress and streptococcus infection, I was diagnosed with psoriasis few weeks ago. I was prescribed Enstilar that worked as a miracle and my skin healed up within few days. But now I have noticed few small bumps (almost like acne) with a dry look on my arms. Being new to this, I wonder how do your new scales look like? Or how do you notice a new flare up? 🤔 submitted by /u/Esihesi [link] [comments]

My psoriasis started four years ago on my scalp and would go away and come back in small patches. Now it is on fire and spreading under my eye. I have been using aquaphor under my eye but it isn’t helping. What do I do? Does this cause blindness? submitted by /u/Novel_Management_482 [link] [comments]

Sudden Psoriasis Flare-up

Around 3-4 weeks ago my psoriasis started getting worse and worse and I have no clue why. I’ve been professionally diagnosed with psoriasis for a couple of years now (currently 19 years old) and started having symptoms of psoriasis since I think between the ages of 9-12? Around when COVID-19 hit (around 2020) I found out the reasons for my trigger was gluten so my mom had changed my diet completely and my psoriasis started getting better. At one point it all cleared from my body. I don’t have severe psoriasis I would say and would only get them on my arms, torso, back, and leg. I think i have guttate psoriasis. Again, after changing my diet I started to cheat on my diet by having small amounts a day as I realized those small amounts wouldn’t do anything or cause my psoriasis to flare up. I continued doing so until recently when all of a sudden my psoriasis got super bad. I had just finished my last bottle of Mometasone Furoate from Elomet and wasn’t able to get
